Avionics Training Unlimited, Inc. helps develop VFLITE interactive Garmin 430/530 training CD-ROM
Collegeville, PA, August 25, 2002 – Avionics Training Unlimited, Inc. has teamed with Pegasus Interactive, Inc. to develop VFLITE™, an interactive multimedia training program for Garmin GNS 430 and 530 users.
“It’s been a fun and rewarding challenge participating in the development of VFLITE™. I think VFLITE™ will really help pilots maintain their proficiency on the GNS430/530”, says Judy Cadmus, owner of Avionics Training Unlimited, Inc.
“After attending the Garmin 430/530 Workshop, many pilots don’t get an immediate opportunity to use all of the material they learned in the course, and over the course of time they begin to forget certain things,” says Cadmus. “VFLITE™ is a great way to re-learn those forgotten items, or brush up on the 430 or 530 in general.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Judith
Cadmus recently renewed her Master Instructor designation. Judy is an
independent flight instructor at Perkiomen Valley Airport (N10) and specializes
in instrument training. She also teaches pilot ground schools as well as GPS
workshops and is active in The 99s.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) takes pride in announcing
a significant aviation accomplishment on the part of Judith A Cadmus, an
independent flight instructor and a resident of Collegeville, PA. Recently,
Judy's designation as a Master CFI (Certificated Flight Instructor) was renewed
by NAFI, her professional aviation organization.
To help put this achievement in its proper perspective, there are approximately
81,000 CFIs in the United States. Fewer than three hundred of them have
achieved that distinction thus far. The last six national Flight Instructors of
the Year were Master CFIs while Judy is one of only 2 Pennsylvania CFIs who have
earned this prestigious "Master" title.
The Master Instructor designation is a national accreditation that is earned by
a candidate through a rigorous process of continuing education and peer review.
Much like a flight instructor's certificate, it must be renewed biennially.
This process parallels the continuing education regimen used by other
professionals to enhance their knowledge base while increasing their
professionalism. Simply put, the Master Instructor designation is a means by
which to identify those outstanding aviation educators, those "Teachers of
Flight," who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to excellence, professional
growth, and service to the aviation community.
Through their dedication to excellence, Master Instructors have earned their
"black belts" in aviation education. They truly represent the crème de la crème
of our industry! To publicly recognize these individuals and their noteworthy
accomplishments, NAFI will be hosting its "Meet the Masters" breakfasts, to
which Judy will be invited, during EAA's AirVenture in Oshkosh and Sun 'n Fun in
Lakeland. Any support that can be provided will be appreciated.
NAFI was founded in 1967 and is dedicated to raising and maintaining the
professional standing of flight instructors throughout the nation, as well as
providing a safe and effective learning environment for student pilots. In
addition, NAFI initiates education and support programs throughout the aviation
industry. The Association affiliated with EAA in May of 1995.

media. Questions regarding the Master Instructor program should be directed to
