Do I need a PayPal account to purchase the courses?

Answer
No. You may use a Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover card to purchase courses – no PayPal account is necessary.


Question 2
I don’t feel comfortable giving my credit card information over the internet. Are there any alternative payment methods?

Answer
Yes. You can arrange to pay by personal check by calling us at 610-405-5243.


Question 3
Do I need to use a web browser to use the courses?

Answer
No. You run our courses directly from your PC, eliminating the need for a web browser.


Question 4
How much space do I need on my hard drive to install the courses?

Answer
We’ve taken great care to optimize the file sizes when developing our courses. The largest course file size is 5.6MB.


Question 5
Do I need to run any special software to use the courses?

Answer
No special software is needed to run the courses.


Question 6
I get a "Security Warning - Unknown Publisher" message when I attempt to install the software. May I ignore this message?

Answer
Yes, you may safely ignore this message, as Avionics Training Unlimited, Inc. is the publisher, and you are downloading directly from a secure site. The software contains no spyware, adware or viruses.

I’ve studied the Garmin 430/530 manual and have used the simulator. What do your courses offer that is not covered in the Garmin materials?

Answer
The Garmin training materials are an excellent way to learn the basic operation of these highly capable units. The Garmin materials do not, however, address many practical real-life scenarios that occur in the flight environment. Our courses focus on challenging, practical scenarios that pilots are likely to encounter in flight, rather than the basics of knob turning and button pushing.

I answered one of the course quiz questions incorrectly. How do I get clarification on the correct answer?

Answer
We are happy to answer any questions you have regarding our courses. Feel free to , and we will do our best to respond within 24 hours.

Your courses are excellent, and I would like to purchase additional courses. How often do you add new courses to your website?

Answer
We are continually developing new online training courses, with the goal of adding one new course every month.


Question 10
Will you offer courses on the G1000 and Avidyne Entegra?

Answer
Yes, we plan on offering G1000 and Avidyne courses in early 2007.

I would prefer hands-on, instructor-led training on my GPS. Do you offer this type of training?

Answer
Yes! Since 2000, we have been conducting FITS approved, hands-on GPS classroom training with actual Garmin units. Click here for more information.
